Pet Gate 39x11 inch extension. This optional item is suggested if you need an extra 11 inches of width to fit your pet gate within your doorway. We also offer 3-inch and 6-inch extensions on our site. The spacing between the vertical bars is 2.25 inches. You can only add one additional extension per side of the pet gate if you need more than 38 inches of width. For example, you can add two 11-inch extensions, or one 11-inch extension on one side and one 6-inch extension on the other side, or one 6-inch extension on one side and one 3-inch extension on the other side, etc. The extension is non-toxic, lead-free and chew-proof.
